Post Operative Care

  • If prescribed please use your antibiotics, pain-killers and anti-swelling pills as directed unfill finished. Use Arnica if directed.
  • Daily use of suggested multivitamins will seed up the healing process.
  • Cold compress will be applied at the operation day until bed time (only 1 st day) . Apply cold compress with ten minutes intervals. Stop cold compress after 24 hours.
  • Mild bleeding is normal. Some gauze compress may be helpfull. Please call us if your mouth is filling with fresh blood every four minutes.
  • Avoid intense physical activities. Avoid sauna,hamam and hot shower (etc.) for 5-7 days.
  • Too hot, too cold, crispy, spicy and acidic (sour) food must be avoided. Please have warm, soft and protein rich nutritious food.
  • Please avoid ALCOHOL and SMOKING!
  • Avoid using ASPIRIN and similar for a week. If long term prescribed, do not stop Aspirin!
  • At the first day of the operation strong rinding is avoided. Please rinse with your presvribed mouthwash as directed.
  • Sutures will be removed in 7-10 days. Please avoid plulling not to irritate the fresh healing tissues.
  • There should be no pressure on the operation area, so do not chew on the healing side.
  • If you experience pain, even a few days after the surgery there may be some need for special care. Please contact us.
